CDF is conducting research and advocacy program during last couple of years to create an enabling environment and address some emerging issues in the microfinance sector. It has already achieved recognition in the microfinance sector in Bangladesh. But the resources and the capacity for undertaking such activities are not adequate. To accomplish these activities with a view to promoting the sector, it is felt to have some policy guidelines in the area of research and advocacy activities of CDF. The purpose of the policy is how to conduct research and provide advocacy services by CDF efficiently and effectively in the future by mobilizing resources. Also this will help undertaking research and advocacy activities in such a way that these services can cover cost of the RAS sector of CDF gradually.
