The
CDF has turned and proved as effective national forum for
microfinance sector both home and abroad. As a result, CDF
policy makers and its management strongly feel to share
ideas and issues for advice from the expert and leaders
of the NGOs, Bank-finance sector and development field.
To fulfill this emerging need CDF has formed an advisory
committee of expert professional leaders.
Now
CDF has a high level advisory committee consisting of 8
expert/leader of different fields of development, policy
makers, researchers, technocrats etc. The advisory committee
is formed for a period of 3 years just after the election
of CDF Governing Body. They provide strategic directions
and advise to resolve problems. They sit twice yearly to
review CDF performance and provide guidance for betterment.
However, the advisory committee will enable CDF by guidance
and advice for improving policy and quality management to
boost up poverty alleviation and development strategy for
the bottom 50% of people in Bangladesh.
The
advisors will be consulted by the CDF Governing Body and
Management as required for new policy, program, problems
and betterment of CDF as a whole. The key role of the advisors
will be as follows:
(a)
They will be requested for individual consultation and
advice
(b)
Individual advice may be
sought by personal contact through chairman and Executive
Director, CDF
(c)
Group advice will be sought through organizing meeting
of the AC along with Governing Body
(d)
They will attend Review Meeting annually to discuss
and review CDF policy, problems, management and progress
(e)
Special meeting may be organized for crisis or extra
ordinary occasions except Review Meeting (if needed).
(f)
They will be requested for suggestions on microfinance
strategy and the measures for the sector. They will carry
flag of CDF as honorary advisor and goodwill ambassador.
